Nutrition for a Healthy Heart: For the Treatment of Pain

This superb manual teaches practitioners how to assess an individual’s cardiac function and nutritional status using a Heart Sound Recorder—the modern incarnation of Dr. Lee’s invention, the Endocardiograph—a device that tracks changes in the tone, rhythm, and shape of the heart. (It also shows, in real time, how the heart responds almost immediately to changes in nutrition.) Since many pain symptoms can be traced to an imbalance in cardiac function, the Endocardiograph provides valuable information for nutrition-minded practitioners to better understand a patient’s biochemical status and apply an appropriate therapeutic program.

Dr. Peshek was a student of nutrition pioneers Harold Hawkins, DDS, and Melvin Page, DDS, and soon after that became inspired by the work of Dr. Lee. In Nutrition for a Healthy Heart, he provides many useful graphs and charts to help practitioners see the connection between cardiac function, pain, and nutritional deficiencies.
