From Impotence to Fatherhood

With the right support, your body is capable of amazing things.

A seemingly healthy 38-year-old man—let’s call him Duane—walked into my office in October 2014 with this complaint: “My thyroid is gone, and my wife wants to get prego.” Duane’s impression of chiropractors was “they crack your back in ways that you always have to go back and run up a tab.” But he was desperate, and a friend he trusted told him to try it.

Duane was taking levothyroxine prescribed by the endocrinologist who irradiated his thyroid. He also had daily headaches and low back pain from an injury years before.

He’d undergone blood and sperm tests to determine whether he and his wife could have a child, and he consulted a urologist, who started him on testosterone injections. Duane was also taking an over-the-counter multivitamin. Even with all this, his sperm count was very low and very poor in quality.

Using the Muscle Response Analysis (MRA), I found that Duane needed ribonucleic acid, adrenal support, testicle support, and iodine. I suggested homeopathic remedies for the adrenals and testicles and chiropractic adjustments to the pelvis and spine, along with whole food supplements from Standard Process:

  • Wheat Germ Oil, a source of vitamin E for hormone production;
  • Ribonucleic Acid (RNA), derived from yeast to support protein synthesis;
  • Prolamine Iodine, a protein-bound iodine to support serum iodine levels;
  • Cataplex C, a whole food vitamin C product for the adrenal glands; and
  • Symplex M, a nucleomineral extract to support the male endocrine system.

After two treatments, Duane’s headaches were less frequent and not as severe. By the sixth treatment roughly two months later, his headaches were very rare. At that visit I also recommended Withania Complex from MediHerb to support adrenal function—and also ease the stress and anxiety caused by his wife’s pressure for the baby, according to Duane.

Three months later, at his eighth visit, Duane reported no headaches. At that time we added Tribulus from MediHerb to boost male fertility and libido.

At Duane’s ninth visit on February 18, I told him to get another sperm test. He was hesitant, concerned that nothing had changed. “That’s fine, it’s information,” I responded. On March 4, Duane reported the results of his test: his sperm were excellent in all areas and the count was well within normal limits. He and his wife booked a romantic getaway!

On March 25, Duane announced that his wife was pregnant.

While eating at Bonefish in Loveland with my Standard Process West Mentors on April 21, I saw Duane, his wife, and his parents walk in. They were seated in a booth next to us, and I went over to surprise him. What does Duane show me? The very first ultrasound of his baby!

The body is capable of amazing things when you supply it with the proper nutrients and allow the nervous system to function.

Your story may be different, but you can always experience a much better quality of life. Contact your local chiropractor, acupuncturist, nutritionist, or veterinarian, or call Standard Process to get a referral and take action. Just like Duane!
