The Farm to Consumer Foundation has been instrumental in educating farmers and consumers alike for almost 20 years on how to properly produce raw milk. We publish two books for producers: Producing Fresh Milk – Cow and Goat versions.
Helping consumers know how to source their food is incredibly important to us. At the same time, we want to help farmers grow the most nutrient dense food possible. Recently, we had the opportunity to present at the National Association of Nutrition Professionals’ annual conference on how nutritional density begins in the soil. It was clear to us that consumers are hungry for more knowledge about how to take control over their health.
At the Foundation, we want to broaden our educational reach to include the youngest among us. The ones that will be our future one day. And, unfortunately, this age group in America has some pretty dire health stats and forecasts. According to a PubMed Article, “An estimated 43% of US children (32 million) currently have at least 1 of 20 chronic health conditions assessed, increasing to 54.1% when overweight, obesity, or being at risk for developmental delays are included.” A recent NPR article states, “They just seem to be sicker. And it turns out they are,” says Forrest, a professor of pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.” In a new study in the journal JAMA, Forrest and his colleagues report that the health of America’s children has significantly worsened across several key indicators since 2007.
With the recent change in the food pyramid there is hope in the air. As JFK once said, “Children are the living messages we send to a time we will not see.” Children need more education and guidance on how to be healthier, and what better way to share this information with them than with one of the most beloved influencers of all time?
We’ve partnered with an influencer who has an almost perfect record on modifying children’s behavior in a positive way. We have created our very first children’s book. In a fun and whimsical way, focused on prevention, education, and healthy living, we introduce our new book, Santa’s Harvest.
Join Santa as he shows you his real year-round job as a regenerative farmer. He explains why he made the change to real food and why farming in this way is good for the Earth, food, and you. The artwork is very special. Anyone who’s ever read a picture book to a child knows how important the art is. There are tons of little details for them to study as they move through the year in Santa’s North Pole Farm. Capping the book off are a handful of Santa’s favorite recipes that you and your children can make at home.
We are raising funding now to complete the project, build out an interactive website, and get the book published. We have a funding goal of $35,000 by this spring 2026. If we can raise above and beyond our initial funding goal, we also have many companion products that will help the children take action right away towards a healthier future. We see a future where they will be stewards of the land, take control of their own health, and get to express the gifts within each one of them. Together we can light the spark that gets them on the right path. Please donate today to make this project a possibility.
Two ways you can bring this book to life:
