#29. Interference with Transmission of Innate Forces

Welcome to “The Royal Principles of Health,” written by Dr. Michael Dority and presented by Selene River Press. 
This fascinating series is based on the 33 principles of chiropractic identified by R.W. Stephenson, DC, PhC, in his 
1927 classic Chiropractic Textbook. Dr. Dority calls these the “Royal Principles of Health” and invites you to learn 
how these foundational tenets illustrate the forces of universal intelligence that guide and determine our existence.

A Leap of Faith

Royal Principle #29 states: There can be interference with the transmission of Innate forces.

According to Principle #29 above, “There can be interference with the transmission of Innate forces.” We know this firsthand because all of us will experience an “interference” of the transmission of Innate forces within our own bodies. This is expressed as signs and symptoms, and it is detected by and through the nervous system.

Yet we also experience firsthand the many times in our lives when we are energized to excel because we know Innately that we can accomplish anything we desire. There is no interference blocking or causing static in our nervous system. When our nervous system is in tiptop function, we are able to perceive and respond to all that is going on inside and around our body—and this is when we can accomplish great things in our lives.

D.D. Palmer explained that our nervous system is adversely affected by three things: 1) pressure on the nerve root by spinal subluxation; 2) toxins; and 3) emotional stressors. Let’s travel down the emotional path and take a leap of faith into a greater level of confidence—and a life filled abundantly with health.

This photograph shows our three children playing on the haystacks on our family farm. I remember telling my children how I loved to play on the haystacks with my older brother when we were kids. We would climb, jump, and roll off the stacks, playing king of the mountain and imagining ourselves fighting great battles. Looking back on those days in the haystacks, I recall days of crying and even some pain, but there were also days of exhilaration and confidence once I made it to the top.

You can see my seven-year-old, Marcia, flying in midair like an eagle. Five-year-old Bree has already made her flight through the air and waits atop the tallest haystack. Not to be outdone by his sisters, three-year-old Nathaniel is preparing for his own leap of faith. If they can overcome their fear and take that leap, they will land safely. But if they let their fears of “what if” dominate them, they will start to create doubt in their minds about what they can achieve, and then they might not take the leap at all. I’m happy to say that in the end, they all took that giant leap, and their success resulted in greater emotional confidence.

Sometimes we create a prison cell out of our lives, and if we stay there too long we will eventually become comfortable living in it. We decorate our cell until it is overstuffed, making the rut we live in permanent. But we don’t have to live imprisoned in a cell of sickness and injury. The cell come in all forms, shapes, and sizes—high or low blood pressure, indigestion, high cholesterol, allergies, and on and on. When we allow these to confine us, we are relegated to despair. We then lose our hope and can no longer envision our future pursuits, dreams, and goals.

But there’s good news! We all have the key that can unlock the prison doors. We can all leave our cells and start living in greater health. We can all find the courage to take the leap over the divide of whatever is holding us back. Dreams and goals can be challenging, yet by facing the challenge we grow confidant in who we are. By learning to understand what we are jumping to, we obtain the knowledge and skills that will guide us to our destiny. Vision is the greatest motivator. The vision of completing the jump instills confidence, strength, and a covenant with courage.

  • Research proves, and anatomy books show, that the brain’s thought processes empower the nervous system, and the nervous system controls the body.
  • Research proves that pressure upon the spinal cord and spinal nerves causes malfunction (dis-ease) in the body.
  • Research proves that malnutrition causes malfunction (dis-ease) in the body.
  • Research proves that toxic emotions express malfunction (dis-ease) in the body.

Words of encouragement spoken by our parents, teachers, mentors, coaches, prophets, doctors, and spouses send a clear message: Where there is no vision or dream, we will languish, wither, and perish. If we do not take that leap of faith, we will miss out on a life of ordained accomplishment.

Do we hide behind a façade of cells, tissues, and organs imprisoned and controlled by pharmaceutical chains and bars? Controlled by miscommunication from brain cell to body cell? Controlled by malnutrition? Controlled by negative emotions that are holding us back? Must we stay behind a “body cell wall” where we are never allowed to express the true abundance of health that our body is magnificently designed to display?

If we do not have a challenge to jump toward, we languish and miss our calling. We must each envision our leap of faith. We must climb to the top to see further. We must cross the sea to the new world. We need vision, a thought, a dream, and we must think, I can take that leap of faith. It is vision that guides our response to whatever challenges may arise. These insights and dreams are mediated in and by our nervous system. That is what it means to truly live. The Innate vision to leap brings success. During the Great Depression in the 1930s, more millionaires were created than at any other time in America’s history. These people were able to maintain a vision of abundance rather than lack.

As we breathe and move about in our world of stress, Principle #29 rings true: “There can be interference with the transmission of Innate forces.” This occurs in and through our body. We are Innately designed for health, just as we are called to build our own house of health. We are living in a world of “health depression.” Even in this time of mandates and lockdowns, we have the opportunity today—just like others had in the Great Depression—to maintain a vision of abundance. Let’s provide millions of people with millions of solutions for achieving greater levels of health.

Let us be an example and promoter of the causes of health. Let us bring the philosophy, science, and art of chiropractic, the empowering health benefits of Standard Process whole food nutrition, and the advantages of the Neuro-Emotional Technique to humanity so that all may enjoy a greater level of health and life. In this time of depressed health, let us help and inspire others to take the leap to greater health. To quote the words of William Wallace from the movie Braveheart, “Every man dies. Not every man really lives.” Let’s all take the leap to help all of humanity live in abundant health.

Some things to think about:

  1. Some see obstacles. Dreamers see possibilities.
  2. We aren’t looking because we aren’t dreaming.
  3. Dream your dreams, work your dreams.

Say to your self every day, I believe that I am blessed with creativity, with courage, with ability, and with abundance. Go ahead and take the leap of faith.
