Radically Rooted in Health and Wellness

Back when I was in chiropractic college, I remember the day in pathology class (the study of sickness) when my instructor held up a pot with a beautiful, colorful, vibrant, wonderfully scented flower. It filled our classroom with a sweet and pleasant aroma.

Our instructor talked about the secret part of the plant. He explained that even though it’s hidden from your sight, it’s still essential to the plant’s health and beauty and ability to fight off sickness and disease.

The root health of the plant comes from its roots, he said. Or, in other words, it has “rootfullness.” The roots gather water, minerals, vitamins, trace minerals, and enzymes from the soil. The microbes living in the soil make the soil alive, just as they make all the other components of the soil alive. It is humus, from which the first human, Adam, was created and formed.

Our teacher grabbed the stem of the plant and slowly pulled it out of the soil. He told us that without the roots to gather vital organic nutrients from the soil, the plant can never succeed in what it was created to do. Rather than bloom into health, beauty, and fruitfulness, it becomes sick and dies an early death.

The very health of our bodies may go the way of that uprooted plant if we pull our own sheresh (or roots) of health up and away from the soil of real foods we need to make our humus into a healthy and vibrant human. Our instructor wanted us to understand that our sheresh must go deep into real food if we are to become and remain healthy.

Make it your aim to eat real foods. My rule of food selection is, If it won’t rot, don’t eat it. Real foods contain live enzymes that help digestion. Avoid processed foods that are packaged for long shelf life and don’t rot.

Organic foods grown in organic humus contain catalysts of vital nutrients needed by the human body. Nowadays it’s difficult to find these healthier foods. To help provide the body with the catalysts of organic minerals, trace minerals, and vitamins, supplement your body with Catalyn from Standard Process. Taking 1 to 3 per day provides essential minerals and vitamins your body needs for these catalysts of health.

The excessive use of devitalized foods in our world today can aggravate nutritional deficiencies. The Latin word vita, from vitamin, means life. It also reminds us of the word vital, the catalyst for health. Vitamins regulate diverse physiological mechanisms at the cellular level of all tissues and organs in the body. Without vitamins, body functions are impaired and altered. This is called sickness and disease, and it includes all associated symptoms. Nourish your roots of health and wellness with Catalyn.
