Welcome to “The Royal Principles of Health,” written by Dr. Michael Dority and presented by Selene River Press. This fascinating series is based on the 33 principles of chiropractic identified by R.W. Stephenson, DC, PhC, in his 1927 classic Chiropractic Textbook. Dr. Dority calls these the “Royal Principles of Health” and invites you to learn how these foundational tenets illustrate the forces of universal intelligence that guide and determine our existence.
Tear Down Our Walls
Royal Principle #30 states: Interference with the transmission of Innate forces causes incoordination of dis-ease.
Walls seem to be everywhere. A wall is a continuous vertical restraint built of wood, bricks, stone, or wire structures that enclose or divide an area. It can have many functions: a wall can define an area, carry a load, provide security and shelter, or block escape. It can even block the way to an intended goal or destination.
Walls can also be constructed in our physical, biochemical, and emotional bodies. These types of walls prevent us from reaching our greatest potential physically, nutritionally, and emotionally. This kind of wall can create incoordination and dis-ease by causing interference between coordinated effort and our intended results.
Self-imposed walls confine us to living in the familiar; they will restrain those of us who are lighthearted and of shallow commitment from reaching out to greater life expression. These walls can be built with many different materials, too. A wall can be constructed from the safety of routine (it’s always been done this way). A wall can be made with a mandate (you’d better do this or else) or with accusation and doubt (you’re not a real doctor, what do you know?). Living in a false sense of security can build a wall (it will never happen to me—I’ll just fly under the radar).
Pioneers of change aren’t stopped by these walls. They step right over the false security of familiarity, tradition, and mandates that block and confine insight and new discovery. They know we are created with the flames of fire, the Innate life force that moves through and over our bodies by way of our nervous system. Our life force is dressed with enduo. This Greek word means to be dressed or covered from head to toe, and it illustrates how our life force moves over us, spreading the light of life through movement and warmth in all of our functions, thoughts, and emotions. It gives our body the radiant feeling of power to overcome and to heal, both inside and out. This life force is irresistible, riveting, and empowered by Innate intelligence. It burns through our walls with the fire of life flowing in each and every cell of our body.
We must become the leaders of our own health to be a positive example to the patients we serve. We develop leadership skills on a daily basis by learning of new assets of health and through our daily teaching, mentoring, and coaching of our patients. Let’s tear down the self-made walls that prevent us from proclaiming to the world the wonderful benefits of chiropractic care and Standard Process wholefood nutrition.
If we continually invest in the assets of our education, this will compound and benefit humanity with inevitable health returns. It begins with recognizing our limitations. A clear picture of our limitations inspires us to pursue mentorship and knowledge. Our efforts to grow in knowledge, leadership, and discipline will ultimately increase our ability to help humanity.
All of these virtues of leadership and their labors will grow with education. If we know the answers for the causes of health let’s share them. Speak up! If we don’t, no one else will. When we have interference with communication—walls that block and divide—the true and beneficial rewards we wish to enjoy cannot be expressed.
In his 1927 Chiropractic Textbook, R.W. Stephenson, DC, PhC, states in Principle #30: “Interference with the transmission of Innate forces causes incoordination of dis-ease.” When our brain is blocked and can’t speak up to our body, the result is a symptom of some sort, alerting us that something is out of whack. Through this, we can see that our body instinctively knows how to process, coordinate, regulate, eliminate, create, and maintain thousands of reactions involved in living our life in greater health.
If there is interference in the brain’s communication, we will express some type of symptom. We can cover up these vital signals (symptoms) with a drug, or we can seek to discover the cause of this incoordination. The interference with transmission of nerve information to and from the brain and body can and will produce expression of symptoms. Strategic and well-ordered plans can be implemented to reinforce and construct the body’s defenses to a greater degree, promoting greater health.
So let’s help our brains talk to and with our bodies by keeping our spines adjusted and balanced with chiropractic care. Let’s feed our bodies real food. (If it won’t rot, don’t eat it!) Today’s modern diet is ultra-processed and devitalized. Because of this, our tissues can be expressing symptoms or incoordination due to the lack of proper nutrition, vitamins, minerals, and essential fatty acids.
Now don’t forget, our emotions affect our nervous system and physiology as well. Remember, for example, when we are sad we express tears in crying (lungs). We feel anger and our blood sugar rises (liver). When we are afraid, we may even wet our pants (kidney and bladder). When we feel lost, insecure, paranoid, depleted, and emotionally up and down, if affects our energy (heart and adrenals). This last one is the poster child for today’s mandated society we are living in.
With all the current physical and emotional assaults on our body, we must build up our defenses. First of all, we must take heart to stand strong against these oppressors of our health. In order to stand strong and speak up, our hearts must be strong. To ensure that we have strong hearts, we need the strength and endurance of our hearts evaluated. This is easily accomplished with the Heart Sound Recorder (HSR) evaluation. This will provide the strong foundational steps to build our heart health and increase our total body health.
Remember, as the heart goes so goes the body. Like R.W. Stephenson’s principle #30 declares, “Interference with the transmission of Innate forces causes incoordination of dis-ease.” Can we now see that interference of nerve conductivity, improper nutrition, and toxic emotions can and will create expression of dis-ease? With incoordination of heart function, we can lose heart of our Innate focus and energy to complete the task that is in front of us. Through lack of knowledge, people will perish.
As natural health care providers, let us shout out the causes of health from our office mountaintops. In this way, all of humanity will be Innately aware and take the necessary steps to express health and wellness.
Some things to think about:
- Subluxation alters nerve supply to the heart.
- Lack of vitamin C lowers oxygen capacity of red blood cells.
- Lack of vitamin A can cause a rise in cholesterol.
- Lack of vitamin F reduces permeability of calcium through vascular walls.
- Lack of vitamin E reduces muscular strength.
- Lack of vitamin G reduces the flexible expansion of vascular walls.
- Lack of potassium reduces vagus nerve control, resulting in rapid heart rate.
- Lack of vitamin B complex and B4 impairs heart nerve conduction, resulting in fibrillation, heart block, and extra systoles.
Let’s prepare ourselves by setting aside time to learn and understand the tremendous information gathered from an HSR evaluation. Let’s learn the causes of health. Lack of knowledge brings on an early destruction of our health as well as our patients’ health. Let’s tear down the walls blocking our heart from expressing health. Let’s step onto the path of knowledge so we can learn to destroy interference with the transmission and expression of the Innate forces to and through our hearts. Let’s enhance, aspire to, and act upon the causes of the true expression of a healthy heart.
“Want more health? Do something that requires it.”
